Members of The Jessie Richardson Award Society will be sent Notice of Meeting and Notice of Election of Directors.

All the meeting materials will be sent by Monday, November 18, 2024. Please note that ASL services will be provided.

Announcement of Jessie Awards Hiatus

It has been a difficult few years for everyone, and the performing arts have faced unique challenges during this time. One of the biggest challenges faced by the Jessies has been the engagement and involvement of the theatre community on our juries, committees, and Board of Directors. To that end, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision for the Jessie Awards to go on hiatus and pause all jurying as of May 1, 2022.

APPLY TO BE A JESSIE AWARDS JURY MEMBER

The Board of the JESSIE RICHARDSON THEATRE AWARDS is excited to announce that we are preparing for a 2024-2025 Awards Season! We are looking for volunteers to join one of our four juries from September 2024 - September 2025. We are seeking a minimum of eight jury members each for Large Budget Theatre, Medium Budget Theatre, Small Budget Theatre, and Theatre for Young Audiences. As well we are seeking 5 members for the Script Reading jury.

CALL FOR ADVISORY COMMITTEES

As part of our restructuring, the board, along with our former advisory committee, have created draft jury rubrics to be used for adjudication of productions.  We hope this will support evaluating productions fairly and give a guide for jurors to critically, openly and with curiosity view shows.
